How to use a Righthand with Google Calendar

Prepare Google Calendar meeting options with event identity, busy-time scope, named zones, attendee status, and verified booking results.

Give Calendar a bounded scheduling job

Use Righthand with Google Calendar to prepare meeting options and, where supported and approved, create the selected event. Start by naming the calendar that defines availability and the calendar that should own the invitation. Those need not be the same account or collection of calendars.

The Google Calendar event reference documents identifiers, summary, start and end information, organizer, attendees, and other event fields. An event title is not enough to identify which commitment may be changed.

Verify access before searching

Find Google Calendar in integrations and inspect the connected account's available read and write tools. Ask for the calendars relevant to busy time and confirm that personal commitments should affect availability without being disclosed in client messages.

If the needed action is absent, supply an approved availability extract or use a permitted browser review. Do not claim complete conflict detection from one calendar when another source contains commitments.

An illustrative kickoff search

A project lead wants a 45-minute kickoff with two required attendees. The brief limits booking to afternoons, protects delivery blocks, and requires 15-minute buffers. The assistant can prepare two possible slots, explain a blocked alternative, and ask for review.

A proposed time can become unavailable while participants reply. The final booking step should inspect current availability again rather than trust the initial search.

A complete scheduling request

Review the named work calendar and supplied personal busy blocks for October 12-16 in America/Los_Angeles. Prepare two afternoon options for a 45-minute kickoff with the verified attendees below, preserving 15-minute buffers. Do not move existing events. Send the options privately to me for review. After I authorize a specific slot and supported create action, recheck availability, create the event on the designated calendar, and return its link, organizer, attendees, and outstanding responses.

This illustrative request separates option preparation from authority to create an event. Sharing options externally needs its own approval if it is part of the workflow.

Expected result and check

The options report might read: “Tuesday afternoon available under supplied calendars; Thursday conflicts with delivery block; Friday alternative prepared.” An option is not a reservation unless a separately authorized hold was actually created.

For a completed event, inspect date, start, end, named zone, summary, location or meeting link, organizer, and attendees. Report acceptance status separately from invitation creation. A calendar entry alone does not mean everyone agreed to attend.

Avoid recurrence and time-zone surprises

A request to move one occurrence should not change a whole series. Preserve the event reference and desired edit scope. For future dates, use named time zones and the actual date rather than a remembered offset.

If authorization expires or a calendar is inaccessible, report incomplete availability. If an event changes during review, return a fresh option or decision. Do not overwrite an existing commitment to force completion.

Follow Righthand connection controls and check pricing for the recurring responsibility. Begin with one event and a final manual inspection before granting broader calendar authority.
